1916 … Birth of the first real bottle

The bottlers of Coca-Cola was easily was worry that someone would imitate the bottle. A group that  represented the Company and  the bottlers had asked glass manufacturers to offer any ideas for a distinctive bottle. The design from the Root Glass Company of Terre Haute, Indiana who won enthusiastic approval in 1915 and  then was introduced in 1916. The contour bottles became one of the few packages ever granted trademark status by the U.S. Patent Office. Today, it's one of the most recognized icons in the world.

                                                                 1923 six pack coca bottles In 1920s  their bottling has taking over fountain sales in United State.There  was 1,000 Coca-Cola bottlering operating in the U.S. Their ideas and real fueled steady growth in 1920.  Their six-bottle cartons were a huge hit after their 1923 introduction. A few years later, open-top metal coolers became the forerunners of automated vending machines. By the end of the 1920s, bottle sales of Coca-Cola exceeded fountain sales.
